# Fund Usage

## **Automatic Use of Treasury Funds**

BetterBank’s Treasury plays an **active role in expanding and strengthening** the protocol:

**Assets in the Treasury** are automatically **deposited in the Stronghold.** This achieves several **benefits for all users.**

* **The treasury** is always the **last to withdraw**, which means that it **functions as a reserve** to keep **capital** available for **Strongholders**.
* **The treasury depositing** in the Stronghold **provides** new assets to borrow in **the Wildlands**.
* **The treasury** receives passive yield **for strategic use**.

## **Strategic Use of Treasury Funds**

Through their access to the treasury, the team will occasionally use it as follows:

* **Calamity Fund** – A **portion** of the treasury will **be withdrawn** and kept **as calamity fund**, because in case of calamity, withdraws may be stalled.
* **Liquidity Seeding for New Asset Listings** – The Treasury can **provide initial liquidity** when adding new tokens to the Stronghold.
* **DeFi Ecosystem Growth** – Treasury funds may be used to **support or incubate** promising DeFi projects.
* **Tokenization & RWA Acquisition** – Acquiring **real-world assets (RWAs)** to tokenize and integrate into the protocol.
* **Impact Investments** – Investments or donations **real-world initiatives** that align with **BetterBank’s vision** of sovereign financial empowerment, decentralization, and the healing of our world.
* **Giving Back -** Sponsoring events and initiatives worldwide that support cultural growth and DeFi adoption.
